A PPR ball valve is a type of valve used in piping systems, the body made from PPR material. It features a rotating ball with a hole to control flow. It is known for its corrosion resistance, durability, and suitability for hot and cold water applications, commonly in residential and industrial plumbing.

Working Principle


The waving handle is connected to the brass ball inside, which has a through-hole. Turning the handle 90 degrees aligns the hole with the pipe to allow full flow (OPEN) or positions it perpendicular to block the flow completely (CLOSE). The PPR body and integrated seals ensure a tight shut-off.

Ball Material Brass. Superior durability, better wear resistance, smoother rotation, and less prone to deformation. Plastic. Can be more susceptible to wear, scoring, or deformation over time, especially with frequent use.
Sealing & Life Brass-to-plastic seal typically offers tighter shut-off and longer service life. Plastic-to-plastic seal may wear faster, potentially leading to earlier leakage.
Pressure Rating Higher rating (PN25), suitable for high-pressure applications. Generally lower pressure rating (e.g., PN16 or less).
Handle Design Ergonomic waving handle for improved grip and comfort. Usually a simple, straight plastic lever without ergonomic shaping.
Customization Offers color and logo customization. No customization.
Temperature & Durability PPR body resists scaling; brass core handles thermal stress well. Suitable for hot water. May have lower overall thermal and mechanical stress tolerance.
