The PVH hydraulic pump is a swashplate-type axial piston pump. Its core operating principle is as follows: the drive shaft rotates the cylinder block. Pistons, housed within the block, reciproe as they follow the swashplate. As a piston retracts from the suction port, the volume in its chamber increases, creating a vacuum that draws in hydraulic fluid. As the piston is forced back in by the swashplate, the volume decreases, displacing the fluid at high pressure. By varying the angle of the swashplate, the stroke of the pistons is changed, allowing for continuous and stepless variation of the pump's displacement.
