Mastic Heat shrink tape
Heat shrink tape (sleeves) are an essential product used to protect pipes from environmental factors that can lead to corrosion, mechanical damage, or deterioration. These sleeves are designed to provide a long-lasting, durable protective layer that enhances the performance and longevity of pipelines in various industries, such as oil & gas, water, and utilities.
Heat shrink sleeves consist of a high-performance polymer material that, when heated, shrinks to tightly conform to the pipe’s surface, creating a seamless, watertight barrier. This shrinkage ensures complete coverage of the pipe, including any irregularities, welds, or joints, providing a secure and effective seal. Heat shrink sleeves are commonly used to coat pipelines both during construction and for repair and maintenance.
2LPE heat shrinkable tape
2LPE heat shrinkable tape is a specialized accessory designed for use with heat-shrinkable wraparound PE sleeves. This tape is composed of a thick-walled, irradiated, cross-linked polyolefin backing and a low-temperature pre-heated adhesive. When heated, the backing layer shrinks, and the adhesive flows, forming a strong and reliable corrosion protection seal over metal surfaces and adjacent coatings.
The tape is applied by wrapping it around pipe joints, fittings, bends, elbows, and other similar areas. Once the tape has shrunk, a closure patch should be placed over the overlap to ensure a complete seal.
2PE Heat Shrinkable Tape is available with different adhesive options based on customer requirements, including hot melt adhesive, viscoelastic adhesive, mastic adhesive, and butyl rubber adhesive, allowing for tailored solutions depending on the specific application needs.
