200 & 325 Mesh Wood Based Powder Activated Carbon for Citric Acid Purification
Product Introduction
Wood-based powdered activated carbon is specifically formulated for the purification and decolorization of citric acid solutions during fermentation and crystallization processes. It effectively removes pigments, fermentation by-products, residual organics, and metal ions, resulting in a bright, high-purity citric acid product.
Produced from selected hardwood raw materials under strictly controlled carbonization and activation conditions, this activated carbon offers a well-developed pore structure and large surface area tailored for liquid-phase adsorption. Two grades are available to meet diverse process requirements:
200 Mesh: Standard grade for general purification lines with balanced adsorption and filtration performance.
325 Mesh: Fine-grade option recommended for export-grade or high-color citric acid production lines requiring superior clarity and low turbidity.

Features·
High Decolorization Efficiency: Removes fermentation pigments and yellow-brown organic residues, ensuring high optical brightness of citric acid crystals.
Selective Adsorption: Effectively adsorbs color bodies and impurities without reducing citric acid yield.
Two Mesh Grades:
200 Mesh: Optimal flow rate and filtration balance for conventional production lines.
325 Mesh: Enhanced surface area and microporosity for high-color or export-grade citric acid purification.
Low Ash and Heavy Metal Content: Ensures product purity and prevents ionic contamination in downstream crystallization.
Consistent Batch Quality: Produced under strict process control for uniform performance in repeated purification cycles.
Applications
Citric Acid Refining: Decolorization and purification of fermentation liquor before concentration and crystallization.
Organic Acid Production: Applicable to malic acid, tartaric acid, and lactic acid purification processes.
Food & Beverage Ingredients: Used in refining edible acids to meet international color and purity standards.
Pharmaceutical and Biochemical Industries: Ensures high-purity organic acid intermediates for drug synthesis and biochemical applications.
