HMPW-K-M KH-GGF-0.1 80cm Type K Thermocouple Assembly | OMEGA Mini Male Plug SMT Reflow Oven Temperature Test Wire
Product Overview
HMPW-K-M+KH-GGF-0.1-80cm integrated Type K thermocouple wire pre-assembled with OMEGA HMPW-K-M male connector, 0.1mm fiberglass sensing wire, total length 80cm. Specially made for temperature profiling of SMT reflow ovens and wave soldering machines.
Wire withstands up to 482°C and connector up to 260°C. Color coded blue & white following ANSI standard. Directly compatible with imported profilers like KIC and Datapaq, no extra wiring required.
This one-piece SMT reflow oven thermocouple wire is our best-selling temperature testing consumable for overseas orders. It is fully crimped at factory to save wiring time for workshop technicians.
- HMPW-K-M male plug: Made of high temperature resistant LCP material. It outperforms regular SMPW connectors on heat resistance, keeps intact under continuous 200°C ambient near ovens. Lockable screws ensure stable signal after repeated plugging & unplugging.
- KH-GGF-0.1 fiberglass wire: Double-layer fiberglass insulation maintains stability at 482°C continuously. Unlike Teflon wires, it will not melt or contaminate PCBs under high heat. The 0.1mm ultra-thin wire closely attaches to BGA and tiny components, delivering accurate and fast temperature response.
- Standard 80cm length fits most 8-12 zone reflow ovens, avoiding tangling or pulling off probes during profiling.
Widely used for PCB hot press fixtures, industrial drying ovens and electronic aging furnaces. It is a universal furnace profiling thermocouple assembly for EMS factories worldwide.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q1: Which one to choose for reflow profiling, HMPW-K-M or SMPW-K-M?
A: Ambient temperature around reflow ovens often exceeds 180°C. SMPW connectors degrade easily under constant high heat. Choose HMPW-K-M matched with Type K thermocouple lead for oven use; SMPW is only suitable for small low-temperature hot plates.
Q2: Can KH-GGF wire be placed inside reflow furnaces?
A: Yes. Its continuous working temperature reaches 482°C, much higher than reflow peak temp 245°C. Teflon wires are not recommended as they melt and leave contaminants on circuit boards.
Q3: Is 0.1mm thin wire easy to break?
A: Double fiberglass outer layer provides sufficient protection. It lasts 3-6 months with daily several profiling tests. If you run over 20 cycles per day, upgrade to 0.2mm thicker wire version.
Q4: Does it work with European & American imported temperature profilers?
A: Standard ANSI Type K male plug, plug-and-play for Datapaq, KIC and other mainstream loggers without adapters.
Q5: Can I customize different wire lengths?
A: 80cm is standard in stock. Custom lengths from 10cm to 300cm are available. We also offer female connectors and other thermocouple calibrations upon request.
Q6: Is calibration required before factory use?
A: Direct use is acceptable for regular SMT production. Regular calibration is suggested for automotive and medical PCB high-precision testing.
Q7: Does this product meet EU & US environmental standards?
A: Cadmium-free RoHS compliant connector and halogen-free fiberglass wire. Material spec sheets can be provided to satisfy factory compliance audit.
