TGS1820 Hot-wire Type Semiconductor Gas Sensor
Detection Principle:
The sensitive element consists of a noble metal coil surrounded by sintered metal oxide semiconductor material. When gases are adsorbed onto the semiconductor surface, it causes a change in conductivity, which is measured as a resistance variation across the noble metal coil (coupled with the semiconductor material).
Main Features:
- High Sensitivity & Selectivity : Exhibits prominent response while suppressing interference from other gases.
- Low Interference from Ethanol & Hydrogen: Minimizes cross-sensitivity to ethanol and hydrogen, ensuring accurate detection.
- Fast Response Time: Enables rapid gas concentration monitoring.
- Compact Size: Facilitates integration into various devices (dimensions: ~φ2.9×12.35 mm).
- Low Power Consumption: Suitable for portable applications with minimal power drain.
Detected Gas & Concentration Range:
- Detection Range: 1–20 ppm (parts per million).
Typical Applications:
- Detectors: For industrial safety monitoring in chemical plants or laboratories.
- Measures human fat-burning rate and evaluates the effectiveness of ketogenic diets.
- Assists in monitoring blood glucose levels for diabetic patients .
Dimensions:
- Size: Approximately φ2.9 mm × 12.35 mm (diameter × length).
Driving Conditions:
- Circuit Voltage (Vc): 2.3 V DC.
- Heater Power (Ph): 125 mW.
