8410179 Flow Sensor is a dedicated neonatal flow sensor for Drager ventilators. It measures gas flow using the hot wire velocity measurement method and is mainly used in compatible devices such as Evita Infinity V500. The following is the description of its key parameters:
Measurement principle
It adopts the hot wire velocity measurement method. By measuring the cooling effect of gas flow on the hot wire, the flow velocity can be calculated. This method is suitable for precise monitoring of gas flow rates such as air and oxygen.
Scope of Application
‌Device Compatibility‌: Only applicable to specific models of ventilators (such as Evita Infinity V500). Please refer to the device manual for confirmation of compatibility.
Applicable scenarios: Newborn respiratory support. The measurement range of support flow is 0 - 348 Pa (approximately 0 - 1.4" wc).
Maintenance and Disinfection
‌Cleaning Steps‌: The housing and the measuring instrument's plug need to be soaked in a dedicated cleaning solution, and the Y-shaped connector and the internal part of the measuring instrument should be cleaned with a lint-free brush.
Disinfection method: When using immersion disinfection, make sure the solution completely covers all surfaces. After disinfection, thoroughly rinse off any remaining solution.

Output signal: 0 - 2.5 VDC, requires an external converter for processing.
