TGS816 Semiconductor - type Gas Sensor For Industrial Gas Leakage Detection Alarm Systems
- Product Features:
- It is sensitive to a wide range of combustible gases, especially has high sensitivity to methane, propane and butane, which makes it an ideal choice for monitoring natural gas and liquefied petroleum gas (LPG).
- With a long service life and low - cost characteristics, it is suitable for a variety of applications.
- It adopts a ceramic base, which can withstand harsh environments and can be used in an environment with a temperature of up to 200 °C.
- Detection Principle:
- The gas - sensitive element is made of tin dioxide (SnO₂). In clean air, its conductivity is low. When the target gas exists, the conductivity of the sensor will increase with the increase of the gas concentration in the air. Through a simple circuit, the change of conductivity can be converted into an output signal corresponding to the gas concentration.
- Technical Parameters:
- Measurement Range: Usually 500 - 10,000ppm.
- Sensitivity (Resistance Ratio): Generally 0.55 - 0.65.
- Heater Voltage: 5V±0.2V.
- Dimensions and Weight:
- The size is about φ19.5×16.5mm, and the weight is about 7.7g.
- Application Areas:
- It is mainly used in industrial gas leakage detection and alarm systems, which can monitor the concentration of combustible gases in industrial production processes and give an alarm in time when the gas concentration exceeds the standard.
- It can also be applied to portable gas detectors, which is convenient for users to detect the concentration of combustible gases in different environments.
