1.Product Introduction

This heavy-duty 280 TPD Rotary Dryer is custom-engineered to pre-treat wood chips for high-efficiency biomass gasification plants. It continuously processes 280 tons of raw wood chips daily, lowering moisture content to the strict levels (typically 10%-15%) required to maximize syngas quality and maintain stable gasifier temperatures.


2.Application

  • Optimized for Gasification: Uniformly lowers moisture to prevent syngas dilution, excessive tar formation, and thermal fluctuations inside the gasifier.

  • Deep Core Drying: Features robust internal lifting flights that thoroughly cascade heavy wood chips, ensuring heat penetrates deeply to the core of each piece without scorching the surface.

  • High Industrial Durability: Built with a reinforced steel shell and wear-resistant components to reliably handle massive daily volumes in continuous 24/7 energy plant environments.


3.Working Principle

Wet wood chips are fed into the inclined rotating drum, where specialized internal plates continuously lift and shower them through a high-temperature air stream. As the drum turns, the chips advance via gravity and an induced draft, rapidly exchanging heat to evaporate internal and surface moisture. The uniformly dried, gasification-ready chips are then discharged at the outlet, while a high-efficiency cyclone collector cleanly separates the product from the humid exhaust air.
