• Excellent oil resistance: Nitrile rubber is a copolymer of butadiene and acrylonitrile, with the acrylonitrile component conferring excellent resistance to mineral oils, vegetable oils, animal fats, and most aliphatic hydrocarbon solvents. It does not swell, harden, or crack when exposed to oils, making it a core competency for oil seals.
• Moderate temperature range: It can operate stably within the temperature range of -40°C to 100°C. Some modified grades can withstand short-term temperatures up to 120°C, meeting the standard operating conditions of most industrial equipment.
• Excellent elasticity and sealing performance: The rubber itself has high elasticity and resilience. Combined with the SC-type oil seal's skeleton structure (metal skeleton reinforcement for increased rigidity), it can tightly adhere to the sealing surface, effectively preventing oil leakage and the ingress of external dust and impurities.
• Cost-effective: Compared to specialty rubbers like fluorocarbon rubber, nitrile rubber has lower raw material costs and a mature production process. Therefore, SC-type oil seals made from nitrile rubber offer a more cost-effective solution, making them suitable for large-scale applications in cost-sensitive scenarios.
