APM is a high-performance iron-chromium-aluminum (FeCrAl) based resistance alloy that is produced using a specialized dispersion-strengthening process. It is designed for use in demanding high-temperature industrial heating applications where long service life and dimensional stability are critical.
Compared with conventional FeCrAl alloys, APM-type materials offer significantly improved high-temperature strength and creep resistance, maintaining excellent shape stability and electrical resistance stability even at temperatures approaching or exceeding 1300°C under continuous operation. During service, it forms a dense and stable alumina (Al₂O₃) protective oxide layer, which effectively slows further oxidation and greatly enhances durability.
Because of these properties, APM is widely used in industrial furnace heating elements, radiant tubes, resistance heaters, and various high-temperature heat treatment equipment, especially in applications that require long operating life and minimal maintenance under harsh thermal conditions.
