Hastelloy C-276 Forged Ring | High-Temperature Corrosion Resistant Alloy Forgings | ASTM B564 Standard


C-276 forged rings are high-performance nickel-chromium-molybdenum alloy forgings widely used in industrial equipment operating in extremely corrosive environments, such as petrochemical, marine engineering, and environmental desulfurization units. They are renowned for their excellent corrosion resistance, high-temperature strength, and resistance to stress corrosion cracking, making them particularly suitable for highly corrosive environments such as those containing chlorine, wet chlorine, and hypochlorites.

Application Scenarios

C-276 forged rings are commonly used in the manufacture of critical connection components for high-pressure, highly corrosive environments, such as:

  • Flanges and valves in petroleum refining plants
  • End caps and sealing rings in chemical reactors
  • Pressure vessel interfaces in seawater desalination systems

Rough Boring C-2 or C-3 grade: lf inserttype boring bar, use standard positive raketools with largest possibleSCEA and 1/16 in. nose radius. lf brazed tool bargrind 0° back rake, 10° posside rake, 1/32 in. nose radius and largest possible SCEA.Speed: 70 sfm depending on the rigidityof setup, 0.005-0.008 infeed, 1/8 in. depth of cut.Dry, oil or water-base coolant.
Finish Boring C-2 or C-3 grade: Usestandard positive raketools on insert type bars.Grind brazed tools as fofinish turning and facingexcept back rake may bebest at 0°. Speed: 95-110sfm,0.002-0.004 in feed.Water-base coolant.
