Steel Roughness Comparison Sample Block Lathe Milling Grinding Standard Specimen
I. Usage:The surface roughness comparison sample block is a measuring tool used
to check the surface roughness of mechanical parts after processing by the comparison method. By visually comparing it with the processed part or using a magnifying glass, the surface roughness grade can be determined.
| As standardized in ISO2632/I-1985 This set contains standards for the six most important maching methods in the prevalent "AA”values. These Surface Roughness is used to compare and determine the degree of the surface finished by comparision method and eye estimation or magnifying glass. The surface rough contrast blocks is made of 45 super carbor steel except the GCr15 which is using to flat lapping the sample block. All 30 speciments are calibrated in u"AA(Arithmetical Average)and in the metric equivalents um Ra.Classify and rough degree parameter as table . | Notice of Operation and Maintenace: when working the surface rough contrat block should be as plssible as under the same condition with the checked workpiece (including Surfacecolour illuminating condition etc) and it is forbidden to contact the surface rough contrast block direct by hand. Antirust treatment should be strictly followed to avoid corrosion and strike and scrape should be avoided. |

II. Materials and Specifications:
Materials: Except for the grinding sample blocks which are made of GCr15 material, all other sample blocks are made of 45 high-quality carbon structural steel.
Specifications: There are three types in total.
1. Seven groups of sample blocks (lathe, turning machine, face milling, flat milling, flat grinding, external grinding, and grinding)
2. Six groups of sample blocks (lathe, turning machine, face milling, flat milling, flat grinding, external grinding)
3. Single group of sample blocks (lathe sample block, planer sample block, face milling sample block, flat iron sample block, flat grinding sample block, external grinding sample block, grinding sample block, boring machine sample block)
III. Classification and Roughness Parameters are as follows in the table:
Manufacturing method Lathe Planer end milling Flat milling Polishing External grinding Grinding boring mill
IV. Usage and Maintenance Precautions:
When using the comparison sample block, it should be placed under the same conditions as the inspected part (including surface color, lighting conditions, etc.). Do not touch the comparison sample block with your hands directly. Implement strict anti-rust measures to prevent rusting and avoid scratches.
