NDT Magnetic Flaw Detector Accessories Dead Weight test Block N1
The magnetic particle lifting force test block is used to verify the lifting force of the portable magnetic particle flaw detector
The fundamental purpose of testing the lifting force is to test the effective magnetic flux introduced by the yoke into the
workpiece, so as to measure the performance of the yoke.
Lifting force refers to the attractive force of the magnetic yoke of the portable magnetic particle flaw detector to the
ferromagnetic material at the maximum magnetic pole spacing.
The lifting force of the yoke depends on the cross-sectional area of the core of the yoke, the magnetic properties of the core

material and the size of the excitation specification. The lifting force of the yoke reflects the attractive force of the
corresponding yoke when the peak value B of the magnetic induction intensity of the yoke reaches a certain level.
When using the maximum distance between the yokes, the AC electromagnetic yoke should have a lifting force of at least 45N; the DC
electromagnetic yoke should have a lifting force of at least 177N; the cross yoke should have a lifting force of at least 118N
(the gap between the magnetic pole and the workpiece surface is 0.5mm) .
