The main equipment for producing ceramsite includes: raw material storage silos, dust suppression chambers, and dredging equipment. Auxiliary equipment for producing shale ceramsite includes: crushers, screens, belt conveyors, feeders, elevators, and discharging equipment.

Auxiliary equipment for producing fly ash and clay ceramsite includes: roller mills, twin-shaft mixers, pelletizers, screens, and conveyor belts.

Ceramsite sand production line process flow:

Raw materials (fly ash and a fixed amount of additives) are mixed and ground – pelletized – sintered and expanded – stacked – transported (bagged). A double-drum rotary kiln is ideal for producing fly ash ceramsite. The preheating and drying sections of the kiln can be independently controlled to adjust the preheating time according to the raw material's condition. The process flow is as follows: raw material mixing – pelletizing – screening – sintering – stacked – transported (bagged). During operation, care should be taken to prevent material agglomeration in the kiln, which could affect quality.
