Key Advantages
- Low processing cost: Hot-dip galvanizing provides more cost-effective rust protection compared to other paint coatings
- Multi-faceted protection: Comprehensive zinc plating coverage including recesses, sharp corners, and hidden areas for complete protection
- Simple inspection: Visual inspection and non-destructive coating thickness testing ensure quality control
Applications
Galvanized steel coil products are extensively used in construction, light industry, automotive, agriculture, animal husbandry, and fisheries. Common applications include building roofs, highway guardrails, sheet metal processing, roof grilles, household appliance enclosures, ventilation ducts, chimneys, kitchen utensils, grain storage and transportation, and frozen processing of meat and aquatic products.
Packaging & Shipping
Product packaging can be customized according to customer requirements and factory standards to ensure safe transportation and storage.
Frequently Asked Questions
What does zinc coating weight mean? What options do you offer?
Zinc coating weight (also called zinc mass) is measured in g/m² (both sides total). It determines the corrosion resistance lifespan of the steel.
| Grade |
Coating Mass (g/m²) |
Typical Application |
| Z40-Z80 |
40-80 |
Indoor use, light protection |
| Z100-Z140 |
100-140 |
General construction, roofing |
| Z180-Z275 |
180-275 |
Heavy industry, structural components |
| Z350-Z450 |

Coastal areas, high-corrosion environments |
Note: Higher coating weight = longer service life = higher cost. We recommend selecting based on your actual environmental conditions.
What standards do you follow?
Our galvanized steel coils comply with major international standards:
- ASTM A653 - American Standard
- JIS G3302 - Japanese Standard
- EN 10346 - European Standard
- GB/T 2518 - Chinese Standard
All products come with Mill Test Certificates (MTC) that can be provided upon shipment.
What is spangle? Regular spangle vs zero spangle - which should I choose?
Spangle refers to the visible crystal patterns on the surface of galvanized steel, formed during the solidification of the zinc coating.
Regular Spangle: Visible snowflake-like crystals. Best for applications where appearance is not critical; prepainted base.
Zero Spangle (Minimal Spangle): Smooth, uniform surface with no visible crystals. Best for painting applications, prepainted steel, automotive parts, where surface smoothness matters.
Recommendation: If you plan to paint directly on the surface, zero spangle is strongly recommended for better paint adhesion.
Does galvanized steel rust?
While galvanized steel offers excellent corrosion protection, white rust (zinc oxide) can occur under certain conditions:
- Poor ventilation during storage
- High humidity or condensation
- Direct contact with rainwater
How to prevent white rust?
Prevention methods:
- Passivation treatment - We apply chromate or chromium-free passivation before shipment
- Oil coating - Anti-rust oil can be applied for ocean freight shipments
- Proper storage - Store in a dry, ventilated warehouse; avoid outdoor storage
