Sheet-metal parts begin as flat blanks, typically 0.3–6 mm thick, punched or laser-cut to net outline. CNC press-brakes fold flanges, louvers and ribs; roll-formers create continuous curves. Hemmed edges eliminate sharpness, while embosses, dimples and louvers add stiffness or airflow. PEM studs, rivet-nuts and weld-nuts provide threaded attachment points. TIG, MIG, spot or laser welding joins sub-assemblies; clinching and riveting suit mixed metals. Deburring, tumbling and chemical passivation remove burrs and heat tint. Conversion coatings—zinc phosphate, chromate or Alodine—prime surfaces for powder, e-coat or wet paint. Silk-screen or digital print labels part numbers and logos. Final CMM and optical checks verify bend angles, hole patterns and profile tolerances to ±0.1 mm. Lightweight yet strong, these brackets, chassis, shields and enclosures serve electronics, medical and automotive markets.
