NON CONTINUOUS CARBIDE ROLLS

◆ SUMMARY

It is a kind of cast iron roll with acicular (Bainitie-Martensite) matrix in its microstructure, and made from high alloy materials of Ni, Mo with special heat treatment.

It is shaped by Centrifugal Casting Machine, or by gravity casting.

◆ DESCRIPTION

It is necessary for rougher roll that a combination of some properties such as strength, hardness, toughness and wearability at high temperature, as well as resistance of fire cracking and impact. Bainitie / Martensite (acicular) matrix is helpful to improve integrative properties.

Carbide content in the matrix is less than 5%, which is satisfactory to the requirement of roughers.
