Hot dip galvanized cable tray involves immersing rust removed steel components in a solution of molten zinc at a temperature of around 600 ℃. This process attaches a layer of zinc to the surface of the tray steel components. This is done to prevent corrosion and achieve a long-lasting result.

The thickness of the zinc layer needs to be not less than 65 μm for thin plates below 5 mm. For thick plates, it should be 86 μm or more. Galvanizing forms a strong, abrasive layer that provides resistance to environmental factors such as moisture and corrosive chemicals.

It can still maintain good durability in high temperature environments, effectively extending the service life of the trays. Usually, the service life of hot-dip galvanized cable trays can reach several decades, far exceeding untreated metal trays.
