Gabion wire mesh refers to box containers or baskets woven from high-quality galvanized steel wire, zinc-aluminum alloy (Galfan) wire or PVC-coated steel wire, which are filled with rock to prevent soil erosion and retain soil particles. Among them, flat gabions—commonly known as "River Gabions"—are widely used in river courses where soil erosion is a concern over large flat or sloped areas needing protection against soil loss or scour. Adopting hexagonal mesh weaving technology, these products feature a flexible yet high-strength structure, boasting excellent tensile strength, corrosion resistance and erosion resistance, well-suited for harsh environments such as saline-alkali areas, windy and sandy regions, and high-humidity areas, with a service life of 15-30 years.
