Product Description:

Melamine moulding compound is an advanced thermosetting plastic material used to manufacture a variety of commercial and industrial components. Upon heating and compression, the molecules undergo a chemical reaction and crosslink into an infusible three-dimensional network with heat resistance properties.

Common fillers include wood flour and pulp to improve texture and reduce costs. Additives enhance characteristics such as flame retardancy, electrical resistance and mechanical strength. The blended powder is then compressed into mould cavities under high pressure.
