Confronted with the oily nature of products like peanut butter, ordinary label paper is prone to oil stain penetration, leading to discoloration, edge lift, or even detachment. Therefore, we employ specialty materials with a multi-layer composite structure:

• High-Density Face Stock: Dense white kraft paper or synthetic paper (e.g., PP synthetic paper) with excellent oil resistance is selected. Its fiber structure or polymer surface effectively delays the lateral diffusion of oils.

• Functional Barrier Layer: A special oil-resistant barrier coating is applied or laminated to the back of the face stock. This coating forms an effective chemical barrier, preventing oil molecules from penetrating to the adhesive layer. It is the key to maintaining the label's long-term clean appearance and stable adhesive performance.

Printing on oil-resistant substrates requires ensuring firm ink adhesion and resistance to oil effects.

• High-Performance Ink Systems: We use UV inks or specially formulated solvent-based inks with strong adhesion and excellent chemical resistance. Once cured, these inks form a robust bond with the specialty substrate surface, effectively resisting dissolution and migration caused by oils, preventing graphics from blurring or fading.

• Precision Net Weight Printing: For critical data involving regulations and consumer trust, such as “NET WT 16 OZ (454g)," high-precision printing ensures numbers are clear and free of feathering, eliminating misreading due to oil contamination.

This is the core determinant of success for labels on oily foods. We develop and select permanent acrylic adhesives specifically designed to combat the challenge of oils:

• Resistance to Oil Plasticization: The adhesive formulation resists the plasticizing effect of oils, preventing the adhesive from being softened by oil and losing its tack, which could cause the label to slip off the container.

• High Initial and Ultimate Tack: Provides sufficient initial tack even on surfaces with oil contamination at the moment of application. During long-term storage, its bond strength persists, ensuring the label remains firmly attached throughout the product's entire shelf life.

To prevent sauce from contaminating the label surface during filling or use and to facilitate cleaning, the label requires reinforced surface treatment.

• Protective Lamination: Lamination with a gloss or matte film provides a smooth, dense surface. This not only effectively resists soiling and water, making it easy to wipe clean, but its physical strength also resists daily scratches, protecting the printed graphics.

• Spot Varnishing: Applying spot UV coating to the brand logo or product name creates an additional protective layer while enhancing the label's visual appeal and tactile quality.

Sauce jars and bottles come in various shapes, requiring labels to be precision die-cut for a perfect fit. We use high-precision dies to ensure smooth label edges and accurate contour conformity. All labels are supplied in roll form, guaranteeing full compatibility with high-speed rotary label applicators, meeting the large-scale, high-efficiency filling production demands of the food industry.
