The stylet intubation is a useful tool for tracheal intubation. It's an intubating stylet that works similarly to a light wand. As a result, when utilising the stylet intubation, we should advance it along the midline of the tongue, similar to how we would with a lightwand. The stylet intubation is a rigid but malleable introducer that fits inside the endotracheal tube and allows for tube manipulation, usually into a hockey stick shape, to help the tube pass through the laryngeal inlet.
