The plotter uses a drag knife to cut, and the knife rotates passively. It is difficult to cut a right angle when cutting a turn. The knife may cut dotted lines or jump when cutting tough or elastic materials. When the knife is not sharp, it is easier to cut unsteadily. The knife cutting has high requirements for material thickness and cannot cut materials above 0.3mm or 0.5mm. The plotter cutting machine cannot achieve full-transparent and semi-transparent operations at the same time (also called waste cutting). The width of the knife blade determines the cutting width of the cutting line. Due to the passive rotation of the knife, small strokes or short-distance turns are unstable.
