Painted Stainless Steel Sculpture EKG (pulsen)
Description
Artist Linda Bakke’s newly installed sculpture, EKG (Pulsen), stands 10 meters tall at Narvik Hospital and Health Centre in Furumoen, Norway. Crafted from painted stainless steel with a vibrant gloss green finish, the artwork embodies the dynamic lines of an electrocardiogram (EKG) waveform.
The sculpture’s design not only complements the contemporary surroundings but also visually represents the life-sustaining purpose of the healthcare facility. Its presence underscores the critical collaboration between the Health Centre and the adjacent new hospital, operated by the University Hospital of Northern Norway HF, which jointly deliver essential medical services and advanced care to the region.
