ST106 Initial Adhesion Tester for Adhesion Force Determination of Protective Films and Pressure Sensitive Adhesive Tape
The ST106 initial adhesion tester, also known as the initial adhesion tester or tape adhesion tester, is designed and manufactured in accordance with the requirements of the new version of the 2020 Chinese Pharmacopoeia "0952 Adhesion Force Determination Method". The equipment adopts the inclined rolling ball method. When a small pressure occurs between the steel ball and the adhesive surface of the test sample, the adhesive tape, label, and other products are used to test the initial adhesion of the sample to the steel ball.
Suitable for conducting initial adhesion testing on pressure-sensitive tapes, medical patches, self-adhesive labels, protective films, and other related products. The initial adhesion tester for labels follows the GB/T 4852 "Test Method for Initial Adhesion of Pressure Sensitive Adhesive Tape - Rolling Ball Method" standard, using the principle of inclined rolling ball method to characterize the initial adhesion performance of adhesive products by the maximum number of steel balls that can be adhered.
Testing Principles
Roll a steel ball over the adhesive tape adhesive surface placed flat on an inclined plate, and evaluate its initial viscosity based on the maximum size of the steel ball that can be adhered to by the adhesive surface of the specified length; Alternatively, a steel ball of a specified size can be rolled over an inclined groove and its initial viscosity can be evaluated by measuring its rolling distance on the adhesive surface of the adhesive tape on a horizontal plate.
Using the inclined rolling ball method, the initial adhesion of the sample is tested by the adhesive tape's adhesion to the steel ball when there is a brief contact between the adhesive surface of the steel ball and the pressure-sensitive tape under slight pressure.
