Overview

Working Principle

During operation, the grinding jars rotate smoothly around their horizontal axis. As the jars rotate, the grinding media and materials are lifted to a certain height along the inner wall of the jar. Under the effect of gravity, they then fall freely, generating strong impact forces.

Material size reduction is achieved through a combination of:

• Impact from falling grinding media

• Friction between media and materials

• Shear forces produced by rolling and sliding motion
