Our Spherical Aluminum Alloy Powder is a premium-grade metal powder specifically engineered for high-performance Additive Manufacturing (AM) processes. Through advanced gas atomization technology, we produce highly spherical, free-flowing powder with excellent chemical homogeneity, enabling the production of lightweight, complex, and high-strength parts for the aerospace, automotive, and advanced engineering industries.

1. Particle Morphology (Shape):
   • High Sphericity:

     The powder particles are perfectly spherical, which is critical for ensuring excellent flowability and consistent layer spreading during the powder bed fusion (e.g., SLM, DMLS) process.

   • Smooth Surface:

     Minimal satellite particles (where small particles stick to larger ones) and a smooth surface finish reduce friction and ensure reliable recoating.

   • Low Porosity:

     Dense, solid particles minimize the risk of entrapped gases, leading to printed parts with higher density and superior mechanical properties.

2. Particle Size Distribution (PSD):

   Available in a range of tightly controlled size distributions to optimize for different AM systems and print parameters:

   • Standard PSD:

     15 - 45 µm (Ideal for most Laser Powder Bed Fusion (L-PBF) systems)

   • Fine PSD:

     10 - 30 µm (For higher detail resolution)

   • Broader PSD:

     20 - 63 µm (Often used for Binder Jetting or other processes)

   Custom PSDs can be manufactured to meet specific application requirements.

3. Chemical Composition:

   Composition is meticulously controlled to meet international standards (e.g., ASTM, ISO).

   Common Alloys:
   • AlSi10Mg:

     The most widely used aluminum alloy in AM. Offers a good combination of strength, hardness, and thermal properties. Ideal for functional prototypes, lightweight brackets, and heat exchangers.

   • AlSi7Mg:

     Offers improved ductility and fracture toughness compared to AlSi10Mg, making it suitable for parts requiring higher impact resistance.

4. Flowability:

   Excellent flowability is ensured by the high sphericity and smooth surface, measured by standardized Hall Flowmeter tests (typically < 35 s/50g). This is essential for automated powder handling and achieving consistent, homogeneous powder layers in the build chamber.

5. Microstructure & Performance:

   The rapid solidification inherent in the atomization and AM process results in a very fine, homogeneous microstructure.

   This fine microstructure translates to enhanced mechanical properties in the final printed part, often superior to those of traditionally cast or even wrought equivalents after appropriate heat treatment.
