Application range

Suitable for testing the combustion rate of flammable gases released during battery thermal runaway, using the vertical tube method.

2.1 Complies with UL 9540A, "Standard for Safety—Test Method for Evaluating Thermal Runaway Fire Propagation in Battery Energy Storage Systems," Appendix A.2.2.1 a), measuring flame spread rate using the vertical tube method;

2.2 Complies with ISO 817:2016 "Refrigerants—Designations, symbols and safety classification," Appendix C, "Test method for measuring flammable gas flame propagation velocity."
