Introduction
The GA-ER109 Multifunctional Scratch Tester is a testing instrument independently developed and manufactured by our company. 1. Cross-Hatch (Grid) Scratch Test
Test Principle
Represented primarily by standards such as GM's GMW14688 and Volkswagen's PV3952, this method employs a metal stylus of a specific diameter (typically 0.5 mm or 1 mm) to create two sets of mutually perpendicular parallel scratches on the product surface under a load of 5–15 N. The material's scratch resistance is then evaluated by measuring changes in color difference or blackness within the scratched area before and after the test.

2. Five-Finger Scratch Test
Test Principle
The specimen is secured to the test platform. One end of the scratch arm holds a highly polished tungsten carbide scratch tip (with a diameter of 1 mm or 7 mm), while the other end holds a weight. The mounting position, quantity, and load of the scratch arms are determined based on specimen dimensions and testing requirements. The scratch distance is typically set between 100 mm and 200 mm, and the scratch speed is 100 mm/s. Upon completion of the test, the scratches are visually inspected under bright northern skylight or a D65 standard light source to evaluate the material's scratch resistance.
