SH709 Automatic mercaptan and sulfur tester

SH709 mercaptan and sulfur measuring instrument conforms to GB/T 1792, ASTM D3227 and other standards. It is suitable for the determination of mercaptan sulfur in jet fuel, gasoline, kerosene and light diesel oil without hydrogen sulfide. The determination of mercaptan sulfur has important significance in the evaluation of odor of jet fuel, gasoline, kerosene and light diesel oil, the adverse effect on rubber parts of fuel system and the corrosion of fuel system.

SH709 Automatic mercaptan and sulfur tester using potential titration method measurement principle. The H2S-free sample was dissolved in isopropanol solvent of sodium acetate, and potentiometric titration was carried out with standard solution of silver alcohol nitrate. The pH glass electrode was used as reference electrode, and the mercaptan sulfur electrode was used as indicator electrode. The potentiometric spike between the two electrodes indicated the end point of titration. The mercaptan sulfur precipitates to silver mercaptan during titration.
