KEXINT MTP (MPO) Female APC To MDC 16 Fiber Breakout Single Mode (9/125) Fiber Optic Patch Cord
US Conec's ELiMENT® MDC connector is a Very Small Form Factor (VSFF) duplex optical connector and is manufactured using 1.25mm ceramic ferrule technology. Push-pull boot can easily be inserted and removed from high density cabling without special tooling. It is designed for high-density fiber patching in 100/400/800G data centers which need space saving and reduce cable management troubles.
Its reverse-polarity design allows for quick and easy polarity conversion without exposing the fibers or needing any tools. SFP-DD, OSFP and QSFP-DD transceivers can be directly connected by these patch cords.
MDC trunk multimode cable assemblies faciliate rapid deployment of high density backbone cabling in data centers and other high fiber environment , reducing network installation or reconfiguration time and cost , they are used to interconnect cassettes,plane or fan outs , It offered in fiber types in standard 8/12/24/48 cores version using a compact and rugged micro cables structure.
MTP to MDC® breakout cables are available across KEXINT’s MPO Series: M400 8 fibre (4 x MDC connectors), M310 12 fibre (6 x MDC connectors), M800 16 fibre (4 x MDC connectors), M1000 24 fibre (12 x MDC connectors) and M2400 48 fibre (24 x MDC connectors) versions.
The MTP to MDC breakout cable here is an 8 fibre cable with a polarity that enables one QSFP-DD, QSFP28 or QSFP+ transceiver to be connected to MDC patch panels or cassettes.
All QSFP type transceivers have ports with a male connection. These require an MTP (MPO) breakout cable with a female MTP (MPO) connector.
To ensure optimal performance, all MPO-MDC Series products including our MTP to MDC breakout cables use an MTP connector with an MT ELITE ferrule and high grade low loss 1.25 ferrules within the MDC connector.

Several emerging transceiver multi-vendor protocols (MSAs) have defined port fan-out (breakout branching architecture). For duplex optical connectors to have smaller package sizes than LC connectors, the reduction in MDC connector size will allow A single transceiver accommodates MDC jumpers that plug directly into the transceiver interface. The new transceiver packaging format will support four pairs of MIDC connector cables in an OSFP package optical module or an SFE package optical module. Supports two pairs of MDC connectors. The connector density on the module panel is increased, minimizing hardware size, investment and operating costs. One rack unit RU can accommodate 144 fibers with LC duplex connectors and adapters.
