The UP 588E01 is the dedicated flush-type installation enclosure for the UP 588/..3 series KNX touch panels, providing the correct recessed wall cavity for professional installation in both solid masonry walls and hollow-wall (drywall/plasterboard) construction. Correct selection of this enclosure is essential for a structurally sound and aesthetically flush panel installation meeting building automation standards.
The enclosure is precisely dimensioned to accept UP 588/13 and UP 588/23 panel bodies with accurate tolerances, ensuring stable and vibration-free seating after installation. Internal cable routing cavities allow sufficient wiring slack for KNX bus cable terminations and power supply connections, maintaining tidy internal organization. The box is set into the wall at the correct depth prior to plastering, so the touch panel sits flush with the finished wall surface.
Compatible design frames — S 588/12 aluminium, S 588/13 stainless steel, S 588/14 glass black, S 588/15 glass white — mount over the installed panel for a decorative border finish. The complete system (UP 588E01 + panel + design frame) delivers a fully integrated flush-mount KNX touch control station.
