1. Allow engine to cool completely
2. Drain coolant to a level below the hose connection
3. Remove old hose clamps and carefully remove the old hose
4. Clean the connection pipes (radiator, water pump, thermostat housing)
5. Install new hose clamps loosely on the new hose
6. Slide the new hose onto both connections
7. Position the hose correctly (no twists or kinks)
8. Tighten clamps to specification (do not overtighten)
9. Refill coolant and bleed the cooling system
10. Start engine, bring to operating temperature, and check for leaks
