Process Overview

The profiles undergo sandblasting first to create a uniform, lightly textured surface, followed by a hard anodizing process. This two-step method etches the aluminum microscopically, allowing the subsequent anodic layer to be built upon this textured base. The anodizing in a black dye bath seals the texture and imparts a deep, permanent black color. The result is a finish where the color is embedded within the oxidized layer, not just applied on top.

Functional Characteristics

The matte, textured finish is excellent at concealing minor surface imperfections, scratches, and daily wear marks, which is crucial for kitchen cabinetry. It offers enhanced grip and feel compared to glossy finishes, making door and drawer operation more tactile. The anodized surface is non-porous, inert, and hygienic, resisting stains from cooking oils, spices, and liquids, and is easy to clean with a damp cloth.
