No external equipment is required for the integrated Proximitor* sensor
Non-isolated "PROX OUT" and "COM" terminals, as well as a coaxial connector, provide dynamic vibration and gap voltage signal outputs for Diagnostics 2.
Loop adjustment is supported by the non-interactive zero and range potentiometers under the transmitter tab.
Test input pins for quick verification of loop signal outputs, using a function generator as input.
The malfunction/signal failure circuit prevents high output or false alarms due to proximity probe failure or loose connections.
Installation is simplified by selecting a DIN rail clamp or bulkhead mounting screw as standard options.
Potting structure in a high humidity (up to 100% condensation) environment.
Compatibility with the 3300 NSv proximity probe allows the sensor to be installed within a small area of the small clearances typical of centrifugal air compressors
The 990 Vibration Transmitter is primarily used by original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) for centrifugal air compressors or small pumps, motors, or fans who prefer to provide a simple 4 to 20 mA proportional vibration signal to input their machine control systems. The transmitter is a 2-wire loop-powered device that accepts a 3300 NSv* proximity probe from Bentley and its input-matched extension cable (5 m and 7 m system length options available). The transmitter regulates the signal to the appropriate peak-to-peak vibration amplitude engineering unit and provides this value at a ratio of 4 to 20 milliamperes of the industry standard signal as input to the control system for machine protection alarms and logic occurrence1.
