Product Overview
The DP-D500 Doppler Velocity Log (DVL) is a high-performance underwater navigation system designed for autonomous underwater vehicles (AUVs), manned submersibles, and surface vessels. Using advanced Doppler effect technology, the DVL provides real-time 3D velocity measurement and precise bottom-altitude sensing, enabling high-accuracy underwater navigation even in deep-water and dynamic marine environments. The system supports both standalone operation and integration with Inertial Navigation Systems (INS) for enhanced positioning accuracy and mission reliability.
Core Functions
- Real-Time 3D Velocity Measurement: Accurate X, Y, Z-axis velocity data for navigation and maneuver control.
- Bottom-Altitude Detection: Measures vertical distance from the vehicle to the seabed to ensure safe operation in varying depths.
- Internal Data Logging: Stores navigation and velocity data internally for up to 312 hours for post-mission analysis.
- Rapid Data Availability: Provides valid navigation output within 45 seconds after system power-up.
