Woltman water meter, with removable measurement mechanism for cold water flow metering DN80,
Our large size Woltman water meter available in sizes: DN 50 / 2" - DN500 / 20" with various pulse output options. Suitable for water distribution and industrial applications. A removable Mechanical counter assembly ensures fast and easy servicing.
The woltmann turbine meters are less accurate than positive displacement and jet type meters at lower flow rates, however the flow path is straight through the meter, allowing for higher flow rates and less pressure loss than displacement style meters. The measuring assembly does not occupy or severely restrict the flow path resulting in a low pressure drop acrosss the meter. They are the meter of choice along with mag meters for larger commercial users and as master meters for water distribution system. Filters or strainers are generally required to be installed up-stream of the meter to protect the measuring element from sand, ice crystal or other debris that could enter the water distribution system.
Its turbine water meters are generally available for 1 ½" to 20" or higher pipe sizes. Woltman Helix Turbine meter bodies are commonly made of Cast Iron or ductile iron. Internal turbine elements can be plastic or non-corrosive metal alloys. They are accurate in normal working conditions but are greatly affected by the flow profile and fluid conditions, which should be given careful consideration before installation. Maximum Permissible Error:
(1) in the lower zone from qmin inclusive up to but excluding qt is ±5%
(2) in the upper zone from qt inclusive up to and including qs is ±2%
(3) Hot water meter ±3%
