ABB TZIDC Intelligent Positioner

The ABB TZIDC Intelligent Positioner, represented by ABB No. V18345-1010261001, belongs to the TZIDC Smart Series, renowned for its precision and versatility. These “smart” positioners combine accuracy, adaptable control capabilities, and easy commissioning through auto-stroke functions. Ideal for control valves, whether rotary or linear, the TZIDC can be equipped with a gauge block and analog/digital feedback.

The standard model TZIDC-100 (V18345) includes HART communication and Profibus. The TZIDC-110 (V18346) offers Profibus, and the TZIDC-120 (V18347) features Fieldbus communication. This positioner can be configured for both single and double-acting actuators with fail-safe (open or close) or fail-freeze (hold last position) functionality.

One of its standout features is the fully automatic determination of control parameters and their adaptation to the final control element. This innovation results in significant time savings and optimal control performance.

The TZIDC is suitable for use in both general-purpose and hazardous areas, thanks to intrinsic barriers, FM/CSA, and ATEX approvals. Its user-friendly design incorporates a built-in operating panel with a 2-line LCD display and four operational buttons for commissioning, configuration, and real-time monitoring. Alternatively, users can employ the available communication interface for configuration purposes.
