Stainless Steel TMT82 Temperature and Pressure Transmitter 0~10 bar Capacity
Key Features
Feature
Description
Universal input
Accepts RTDs (2/3/4-wire), thermocouples, resistance, voltage (mV) inputs.
Dual-channel
It can work with two sensors simultaneously: allowing functions like sensor redundancy, mean value, differential measurement, or fallback if one sensor fails.
Output & communication
Standard 4-20 mA output plus HART® protocol (latest version) for configuration, diagnostics, etc.
Diagnostics & safety
Built-in diagnostics: sensor failure, short/open circuits, ambient temperature limits, corrosion detection of sensor leads, etc. Diagnostic status according to NAMUR NE 107. Also has safety ratings (SIL2, etc.).
Mounting & housings
Multiple mounting options: in a head (terminal head form B as per DIN EN 50446), DIN-rail, field housing (including explosion-proof housings). Optional display (TID10) for head version.
Approvals
Certified for hazardous areas (ATEX, IECEx, FM, CSA, etc.), marine applications, etc.

Performance & Technical Specs
- Accuracy: For say Pt100 from -50 to +200 °C, error ≤ 0.1 K.
- Measuring ranges: Very wide, depending on sensor type: RTDs up to about +850 °C; thermocouples up to higher depending on the type.
- Power supply: Typical supply voltage ranges like 11-42 V DC for the head transmitter, etc. Slightly different in SIL mode or in hazardous area versions.
- Response times: Depends on sensor type and wiring (2/3/4 wire etc.). For RTDs about ~0.9-1.3 s, for thermocouples ~0.8 s, plus any additional delays of the internal reference or second channel.
Applications / Use Cases
- Processes requiring high availability and reliability, where sensor failure could cause downtime. The dual channel / redundancy helps here.
- Environments with hazardous area requirements.
- Situations where precise temperature measurement is critical (chemical plants, energy plants, marine, etc.).
- Where diagnostic information is important: e.g. early detection of cable or sensor degradation, monitoring for safe operation.
Benefits
- Increased safety & reduced risk (through diagnostics, sensor redundancy, safety approvals).
- High stability & accuracy → better process control.
- Flexibility in mounting and sensor type.
- Lower maintenance & downtime, thanks to diagnostics and dual input options.
