Description

Reinforced Thermoplastic Pipes (RTP) are high-performance composite conduits purpose-adapted for geothermal energy recovery, district heating loops, and hot spring water conveyance. Their three-layer construction, combining a thermally stable inner liner with a reinforced structural core and UV-resistant outer jacket, reliably transports heated fluids from geothermal wellheads to end-use facilities with minimal thermal loss and exceptional long-term durability.

RTP pipes deliver a unique combination of elevated temperature tolerance, spoolable installation flexibility, and complete corrosion immunity, making them ideal for buried pre-insulated district heating networks and surface-laid geothermal gathering systems. Unlike steel district heating pipes that require complex expansion loops and suffer from external corrosion in high-groundwater environments, RTP's inherent flexibility absorbs thermal expansion naturally within the pipe wall and trench configuration, eliminating expansion joints and anchor blocks from the system design.

These pipes are widely deployed in geothermal direct-use applications including hot spring resort supply networks, greenhouse and aquaculture heating circuits, municipal district heating primary and secondary loops, geothermal heat pump ground loops, and industrial low-temperature waste heat recovery systems. The polymer construction provides permanent resistance to the aggressive mineral-laden chemistry of geothermal brines without the scaling, pitting, and microbiologically influenced corrosion that progressively degrades steel piping in geothermal service.
