The SUNTECHMACH STG9A electric roll grooving machine is designed for grooving SCH40 steel pipe from 1" to 8" (33-219mm) — the core sizes used in grooved coupling fire protection, HVAC and plumbing systems. A 750W motor drives the rollers at 23 RPM to cold-form standard grooves in steel and galvanized pipe up to 8mm wall thickness, without chips or sparks. The folding carriage lets one person assemble, move and level the machine quickly between job sites, and grooves are formed to the standard dimensions required by grooved coupling systems.

1. Set up the machine on the folding carriage and level it.
2. Select the grooving rolls for the pipe size and install them.
3. Insert the pipe between the rollers at the marked groove position.
4. Adjust the roll depth per the grooving chart for the pipe size (SCH40).
5. Start the motor; the pipe rotates at 23 RPM and the groove is cold-formed.
6. Stop, release and check the groove with a groove gauge (depth/width per coupling spec).
