Using photochemical etching, we produce burr-free, stress-free parts with micro holes as small as 0.03mm – ideal for rotary and foil shaver systems.

Etching Process Used

Our chemical etching (photo etching) process for razor blades:

• Material cleaning – Stainless steel foil is degreased.

• Lamination – Dry film photoresist applied.

• Exposure – UV light transfers tooling pattern.

• Development – Unwanted resist removed.

• Spray etching – Ferric chloride removes unprotected metal.

• Stripping – Resist removed; parts cleaned.

• Inspection – 100% optical checking.
