Horizontal Elbow Beveling Machine
Working Principle
The horizontal elbow beveling machine is specially designed for bevel processing of pipe elbows. The elbow workpiece is horizontally clamped and positioned on the machine fixture. Driven by the main power system, the cutting tool rotates at a set speed while the feeding mechanism drives the cutter head toward the end face of the elbow.
Through combined movement of rotary cutting and automatic feeding, the machine completes high-precision bevel cutting on both inner and outer edges of the elbow end. It can form V-bevel, U-bevel, or other required welding groove shapes in one pass. The entire process eliminates manual flame cutting and guarantees consistent bevel angle and flat end face for elbow welding preparation.
Main Advantages
-
Specialized for Elbow Processing
Purpose-built for elbow end beveling, suitable for carbon steel, alloy steel, and stainless-steel elbows of different radii. Solves the difficulty of irregular curved-workpiece machining with ordinary pipe bevelers.
-
High Processing Precision
Stable horizontal clamping ensures uniform bevel angle and smooth cutting surface without burrs. End face flatness meets welding technical requirements, reducing subsequent grinding work.
-
High Working Efficiency
Automatic rotary cutting and feeding enable one-time forming. Compared to manual grinding or flame cutting, it significantly shortens processing time and improves workshop productivity.
-
Excellent Machining Stability
Horizontal clamping structure holds elbow workpieces firmly, reducing vibration during cutting. Results in less tool wear and longer service life of cutting blades.
-
Flexible Bevel-Shape Adjustment
Bevel angle, cutting depth, and feeding speed are adjustable. Multiple groove types can be produced to match different welding standards.
-
Improved Welding Quality
Uniform and clean bevel surfaces provide ideal conditions for subsequent elbow welding, lowering welding defects and rework rates.
-
Easy Operation
Simple parameter setting enables workers to operate the equipment after short-term training, reducing reliance on skilled operators.
