1.High responsiveness and fast action
Short stroke, high-frequency operation: The stroke is usually short (tens to hundreds of millimeters), but the action frequency is high (several to ten times per minute), requiring the oil cylinder to start and stop quickly and without lag.
Low inertia design: The piston and piston rod are lightweight, combined with low friction seals to improve dynamic response speed.
2. High temperature resistance and pollution prevention
The working environment is harsh: close to the red hot rolled piece (>1000 ° C), surrounded by iron oxide scale, water mist, and dust.
Protective measures:
High temperature sealing material (fluororubber, polytetrafluoroethylene composite seal)
Dust cover/bellows to protect piston rod
The surface of the piston rod is plated with hard chromium and polished (Ra ≤ 0.1 μ m) to enhance wear resistance and corrosion resistance
3. High precision positioning and repeatability
The locking position needs to be highly consistent to ensure stable clearance between the rollers, which affects the dimensional accuracy of the finished product.
Some models integrate displacement sensors (such as magnetostrictive sensors) or magnetic switch slots to achieve closed-loop control.
4. Buffer and shock absorption design
Set bidirectional buffering (B1/B2) at the locking endpoint to avoid metal impact and extend equipment life.
Built in accumulator or throttle valve to absorb hydraulic shock.
6. Typical application scenarios
Rod and wire rolling mill:
Roll locking/releasing mechanism
Roller gap adjustment (assisted by AGC pressure cylinder)
Guide lifting or clamping device
Pre cutting pinch roller control
