ACD-100 is an amino carboxylic acid chelating resin purpose-built for polishing potable water supplies. It selectively sequesters Pb²⁺ and Cd²⁺ cations even in the presence of competing hardness ions, providing a reliable final barrier against trace heavy metal contamination in drinking water production.

Sphelite ACD-100 is a polystyrene divinyl benzene polymer chelating resin with CH₂N(CH₂COOH)₂ functional groups. These groups contain N and O lone pair electrons and can form stable complexes with cations such as Cu²⁺, Pb²⁺, Fe²⁺, Cd²⁺, Ni²⁺ and Zn²⁺.

Compared with traditional cation exchange resins, ACD-100 shows higher exchange capacity and faster exchange rate. It has become a mature and widely applied solution in industrial separation processes.

Applied in municipal drinking water plants, bottled water production lines and point-of-entry treatment systems to reduce lead and cadmium to trace levels. The resin is also used in household water purifier cartridges and community water kiosks, delivering consistent effluent quality with simple regeneration and long operating cycles.
