Single-flange wheels are commonly used as traveling wheels for trolleys of overhead and gantry cranes, with flange heights of 20mm to 25mm. Unless otherwise specified, the material for single-flange wheels is generally cast ZG340-640.

The horizontal skew value of crane traveling mechanism wheels is a critical technical parameter. Excessive skew can cause rail gnawing, increase running resistance, generate vibration and noise, accelerate wear on both rails and wheels, and significantly reduce crane service life.
