The HW-1660W is a compact fixed-mount barcode scanner module engineered for seamless integration into self-service kiosks, access control systems, and industrial equipment. This versatile module reliably decodes both 1D and 2D barcodes including QR, PDF417, and DataMatrix codes.
Compact Design & Flexible Connectivity
Measuring just 37.6 * 36.6 * 14mm with 2mm PCB thickness, the module connects via an 8-pin 1.25mm pitch connector using a 12-pin FFC flexible cable. Interface options include open UART, USB Type-A, USB Type-C, and RS232 with multiple connector configurations available.

Board-Level Integration
The HW-1660W is offered as a board-level module without external plastic housing, making it ideal for integration inside equipment where the enclosure provides protection.
Optimization Tips
For reflective surfaces such as laminated ID cards or passports, tilting the scanner from 90° to approximately 85° can improve decode performance. When mounting behind glass panels, position the glass flush against the scanner to prevent optical refraction that may impact read accuracy.
