HALT40012 470nH SMT Conical Inductor | Ultra-Wideband RF Choke up to 40GHz+


The HALT40012 brings the resonance-free performance of tapered conical winding to automated assembly lines. With flexible mounting options covering both SMT pads and flying leads, this 470nH broadband choke sustains continuous RF blocking from 50 MHz through 40 GHz while fitting into high-volume optical transceiver and microwave module production.


Ultra-Wideband Frequency Coverage up to 40GHz+

The tapered cone winding distributes turn-to-turn capacitance along a mechanical gradient rather than concentrating it at a single LC node. The result: no self-resonance notch, no mid-band S21 dip, and a self-resonant frequency beyond 40.0 GHz. VNA verification on TRL-calibrated microstrip fixtures confirms flat through-line insertion loss across the full 0.05-40.0 GHz rated span, with RF-DC isolation exceeding 1.5 kΩ throughout the band.
