System Integration - The Role of Voltage Dividers in Smart Substations
In smart substations, capacitive voltage dividers serve not only as measurement units but also as signal sources for relay protection and metering equipment. The electromagnetic compatibility design of door handle capacitors (such as shielded electrodes and sealed packaging) protects against EMI interference caused by switching operations, outputting a pure voltage signal. For example, in the State Grid "One-Button Sequential Control" project, voltage dividers use capacitor voltage division to obtain bus voltage. The long-term stability of the door handle capacitors (annual capacitance change <0.1%) ensures accurate timing determination of disconnector opening and closing.
